Choices

Genesis 3:22, KJV: "And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:”
Adam’s soul was only exposed to the goodness of God. His only reference to life was the experience that God had given him. When Adam chose to step outside of the will of God he experienced something new in his soul. His mind, will, intellect, imagination and heart was now exposed to alternative information. He now has a choice. The ability to discern between good and evil wasn’t an option a few moments ago.

When we stay in the will of God we are conditioning our souls to experience the goodness of God. We have a reference of sin because we were born in it due to Adam’s negligence. Yet we can condition our minds, will, intellect, imaginations and hearts to resist sin and walk in the goodness of God. It all comes down to a choice. Choices are like throwing a rock in a pond. When the rock hits the water it causes ripples. Every choice that we make causes ripples in our lives. God has revealed Himself to you for your good. He wants you to experience a divine life. Yet it all comes down to our choices in life.
