New Life World Ministries Intercessory Prayer Team

The Intercessory Prayer Team of New Life World Ministries is a dedicated group of individuals committed to the spiritual covering and support of the ministry and its community through fervent and effectual prayer. This team acts as spiritual warriors, standing in the gap to intercede for the needs of others, the church, the community, and the world. Their focus is on fostering a deeper relationship with God through prayer, aligning with the mission of New Life World Ministries to be a life-teaching, life-transforming, life-developing, and life-building ministry of Jesus Christ.

Mission Statement
To seek God's guidance, power, and intervention through prayer, fulfilling the biblical mandate to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and to intercede for all people (1 Timothy 2:1).

Responsibilities and Duties of the Intercessory Prayer Team
Prayer and Intercession

1. Daily Prayer: Commit to personal daily prayer for the ministry, its leaders, and members.
2. Weekly Prayer Meetings: Attend and actively participate in scheduled prayer meetings to pray corporately for the ministry's vision, mission, and the needs of the community.
3. Specific Intercessions: Pray for:
   • Salvation for the lost.
   • Healing and deliverance for the sick and oppressed.
   • Protection and guidance for the ministry's leaders and members.
   • Local, national, and global issues, including government leaders and societal challenges.

Spiritual Warfare

4. Discernment in Prayer: Seek the Holy Spirit's guidance to address spiritual battles and break strongholds affecting the church and its members.
5. Fasting: Engage in regular fasting, as led by the Spirit, to strengthen intercession efforts.

Support and Encouragement

6. Prayer Requests: Receive, document, and pray over specific prayer requests from church members and the community.
7. Follow-Up: Provide spiritual encouragement and updates to those who submit prayer requests.
8. Special Services: Offer intercessory support during church services, outreach events, and special gatherings.

Training and Development

9. Spiritual Growth: Participate in regular training and workshops to deepen understanding of prayer, spiritual warfare, and biblical intercession
10. Mentorship: Mentor and encourage new members joining the intercessory prayer team.

Emergency Response

11. Crisis Prayer Chain: Maintain a system for immediate prayer responses to urgent needs or emergencies.
12. On-Call Intercessors: Be available for prayer support outside of regular schedules, as needed.

Administrative Duties

13. Documentation: Keep records of prayer requests, answered prayers, and team activities for accountability and testimony.
14. Communication: Work closely with church leadership to align prayer priorities with ministry goals.
15. Event Planning: Assist in organizing prayer retreats, vigils, and special intercessory events.
