Standing In The Evil Day

Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

1.“Put on” (ἐνδύσασθε / endysasthe) - Aorist imperative, calling for a decisive act of equipping oneself with God’s armor.

2.“You may be able” (δυνηθῆτε / dynēthēte) - Aorist subjunctive, tied to the purpose of standing against evil.

3.“To stand” (ἀντιστῆναι / antistēnai) - Aorist infinitive, emphasizing the goal of resisting or standing firm.

4.“Have done” (κατεργασάμενοι / katergasamenoi) - Aorist participle, suggesting a completed effort.
